RSS spectroscopy of helium-rich subdwarfs.
A collection of blue-optical spectra of stars classified He-sdO, He-sdOB or He-sdB and observed with the Robert Stobie spectrograph (RSS) of the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT).
These spectra are combined from 3 adjacent detectors at two grating positions, each observed twice per telescope visit. The spectra are normalised and merged to form a single spectrum per visit, and then combined with data from multiple visits, if these occurred. The data are then renormalized as part of the specral fitting process to yield the data presented here.
Full details of the observations and data reduction are provided in Jeffery et al. 2021 (submitted): The SALT survey of helium-rich hot subdwarfs, classification and coarse analysis and its supplement. Spectra are labelled using the star name conventions adopted in that paper. Raw and pipeline processed files are available in the SALT Data Archive. We do not have resources to provide more metadata and a more structured database, but we think it is easy enough to find the data you require.
The files are written in "Spectrum format 2"
Zip file containing all 107 spectra
